a few more things...

keeping sensitive skin in mind

Being gentle is most important.

It is getting so difficult to pick Adley up, out of her seat at the dinner table, in and out of the carseat, etc... Now that she is bigger and heavier she is blistering badly under her arms from the pressure of being picked up.  Cleaning Adley's bottom after she uses the bathroom has to be done delicately also.  We pat or dab with wipes instead of wiping with toilet paper - her private areas get blisters from the friction of wiping.

Adley enjoys her bath time, which is great, because she has to have a bath every day to prevent infections.  Taking a bath is fun for Adley, and the water delicately washes away dead skin and scabs.  Keeping Adley's wounds clean and covered in ointments is essential in the healing process.  Even though EB Simplex is non-scarring, blister wounds that get infected, can leave scars on the skin.

We have tried every form of diaper rash cream, ointment, ooze, jelly, paste etc..... Some things seem to work better than others, or maybe her skin changes as she grows, but some things definitely make her more comfortable.

Products we are using now, and seem to be making positive differences in Adley's skin are:

Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

Triple Paste Diaper Ointment

100% Pure Cornstarch Baby Powder

CeraveSA lotion

Soft, loose fitting clothing is best.  Adley wears a lot of her clothing inside out, as the seems of her clothing  cause her skin to bleed and tear.

While, she 4 years old, a 5T fits, but clothes that are 6X and sometimes even 7/8 are the sizes she wears to keep her comfortable.  We are on a never ending search for a comfortable shoe, and had some luck with a straight leather moccassin, however they do not go any bigger than toddler sizes.  For the winter she wears Ugg boots, but even though they are so soft and padded on the inside, they sometimes can blister her feet from being too hot.  Currently we have been having luck with a memory foam pair of Sketchers, and in the summer we had a variety of water shoes and crocs that she wore very comfortably.

Adley is comfortable in cotton pajamas, but she doesn't mind dressing up once in a while. We have found luck with bamboo fabrics, organic cotton and seemless brand clothing.

Clothing that we have found to have worked well for Adley:

* Soft Clothing @ www.softclothing.net

* Hanna Anderson @ www.hannaanderson.com

These brands have FLAT seems, and light weight incredibly soft fabrics.
